Soups promise to be “to die for”

Despite being "criticized" for hosting a Soup Festival in August, in the middle of summer, as they themselves told us, Manuel Peixoto and Acácio Silva, president and vice-president of the AFLS (Our Lady of La Salette Festival Association), went ahead with the idea, and the first edition was a "success." So much so that the Soup Festival will be held again in 2025, promising to once again "delight both young and old." Paying homage to local gastronomy and its heritage, the five associations in the municipality that will be in charge of the food and drink stalls in the gastronomic area (this was another innovation of the AF when it took over the organization of the largest festivities in the La Salette region) will have to prepare five different soups, which will be judged on the final day by chef Lindolfo Ribeiro and his trusted colleagues. The top three will receive a monetary prize of €400 (1st), €200 (2nd), and €100 (3rd).
